Norris Graham was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on April 6, 2023, at his home in Texarkana, Tx after battling stages of dementia, which subsequently developed into Alzheimer's.
Born March 4, 1942, in Atlanta, Tx to the late Freddie and Thelma Graham. He was affectionally known as Bay-bay by his family, but to his children and grandchildren, he was simply Papa. Norris is survived by his wife Dorothy Graham and daughter Kateena Ambures, both of Texarkana, Tx. Bonus son, Marlon Franklin along with bonus daughters Tenisha (Britton) Patterson, of Texarkana, Tx and Tameka Waller, Dallas Tx. His last surviving brother Dorris (Jacqueline)Graham, Springs, Texas and a host of relatives and friends.
While a student at Jarvis Christian College, Norris was drafted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam in 1964 and received medals for Sharp Shooter (Rifle M-14). He retired after 32 years as a Systems Analyst with Red River Army Depot.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 14, 2023, from 5pm-7pm at Haynes Mortuary, 7238 W. 7th Street Texarkana, Tx. Homegoing Celebration services will be Saturday April 15, 2023, 11:00am at Hopewell Temple C.M.E. Church 3320 S. Lake Drive Texarkana, Tx.
