Obituary

Othie D. "Muchie" Henderson was born April 29, 1941 to Quito Henderson and Trudie Bailey in Nash, Texas.

At an early age Othie united with the Mt. Orange Baptist Church. He attended Dunbar High School where he was active in basketball and football. During his high school days, he started dating Eunice Brown who later became his wife. He got his first job at Texarkana Country Club. He later began working at Lone Star Ammunition Plant. His tenure lasted for the next fifty plus years until his retirement.

After retirement Muchie enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Muchie was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jessie Daniels and his sister Brenda West.

He is survived by his wife Eunice Henderson, two daughters Moneik Jackson and Margo Witcher (Darrell), one son Anthony McFerguson, one brother Jay Iles, one aunt Kathy Chatman, one uncle Henry Charles Henderson, three special cousins Kenneth Price, Willie Haynes and Woodrow Stuart and three sisters-in-law Carolyn Anderson (Bobo), Sheila Washington (George) and Shonna Lynn Brown.

Services are scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Haynes Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of Haynes Mortuary, Inc.
