Phedora Love Martin was born September 4,1965 in Los Angeles, California. She was the last of seven children born to the loving parents of John Lee Love and Sandra Taylor Love.

Phedora Martin age sixty of Marietta, Texas died on Monday June 15, 2026. Phedora is survived by her husband Wayne Martin her children Verlarty Martin (Tiffany Draughn), Adora Martin-Murphy (Marqane Murphy), and Tavarious Neal, her grandchildren Nashoba Martin and Jaylyn Draughn, her brother Althea Robinson Sr. and sister Juanita Robinson and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Love and Sandra Taylor Love, her eldest siblings, Thester White, George Robinson Jr, Curtis Robinson, and Joel Robinson.

Phedora came to Texarkana, Tx from California to honor her father's homegoing in 1989. Where she then met her husband of 36 years. After an evening of bible study here at Hickory Hill Baptist Church Phedora and Wayne got married on June 6 of 1990. She was a member of Hickory Hill Baptist church for over 30 years until recently relocating to Marietta, Tx where she continued her Christian duties at Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Martin worked as a child nutrition worker for over 20 years with many school districts including Texarkana, Liberty Eylau, New Boston, and Linden-Kildare independent school districts. She loved helping and caring for children in any way possible. She was a mother figure to most and always a listening ear in the time of need for anyone of all ages. She cherished and loved everyone as her own.
