Pinkie Burnett Hildreth was born on April 7, 1932 in Hooks, Texas to the late Willie Burnett, Sr. and Teal Estell Burnett. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Melvin "Son" Hildreth.

Pinkie was a 1950 graduate of Dunbar High School and was employed as a Quality Control Inspector at Day & Zimmerman - Lone Star Ammunition Plant for over 31 years. She was a member of the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Texarkana and served as President of the Usher Ministry for the past 45 years.

Pinkie was the matriarch of five generations. She is survived by her daughters Melva Hildreth Flowers and Ruby Hildreth of Texarkana, Texas; and Kathryn Montgomery (Derrick) of Charlotte, NC; Granddaughters Stephanie Taylor (Robert Earl Singleton), Sonia Gailes (Keith) Victoria Montgomery, Alexandria Montgomery and Alivia Montgomery; five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Mattie (Jeff) Bobo and Shirley Carson of Los Angeles California; Homer (Norma) Burnett of Arcadia, California; Billy (Shirley) Burnett of Moorpark, California and Mattie Traylor of Texarkana, Texas. She was predeceased by seven other siblings.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 22, 2019 at 12:00 pm at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 1617 W. 7th Street, Texarkana, Texas with interment at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Wake Village, Texas. The Revs Marvin Warren and Melvin Glover will be officiating with Rev. Leslie Brembry providing the eulogy. The Wake will be held on June 21, 2019 from 5-7 pm at Haynes Mortuary, 7238 W. 7th St, Texarkana, Texas.
