Reshaun Trelynn Gipson transitioned from this earthly abode to his eternal home on Thursday, October 6th in Dallas, Texas.
Reshaun was born in Texarkana, Texas. He experienced many health challenges as an infant. He was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis but never let that be a reason not to live a full life. In school he was an active participant in sports, art class and had a love for music. Reshaun played for various churches in Queen City, Atlanta and Linden-Kildare.
Later Reshaun united with the New Hope CME church under the leadership of Pastor Bonnie Harris where he served in many capacities as well as the head of the music ministry.
Reshaun is survived by his mother: Meredith Johnson, his father: David Moore, 111; his adopted parents: Roosevelt and Jean Gipson, his fiancé: Miracle Smith; his stepson: Daniel Smith; five brothers: Daniel Gipson, Tevin Gipson, Christopher Gipson, David Moore IV, and Demontrious Reed; five sisters: Navada Johnson, Valerie Gipson, Yvonne Valdez, Cynthia Gipson and Brittany Reed, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. at the mortuary and the funeral service will be Saturday at Hopewell CME Temple at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at the Red Springs cemetery.
