Rita Faye Williams Walls was born December 7, 1953 in Maud, Texas to the parentage of N.E. Williams, Sr. and Willie Mae Fisher Edwards. She united with the Maud Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and later in life united with the St. James Baptist Church. Mrs. Rita Walls departed this life on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Walls, two brothers, one sister, and others.

She leaves to cherish her memory: seven children, Yolanda Williams (Fred) of Texarkana, Arkansas and Latwanda Bolden (Lonnie) of Texarkana, Texas, Damarcus Williams (Kim) and Courtney Williams of Texarkana, Texas, Ernest Williams (Kimesha) of Texarkana, Arkansas, Anthony Williams (Kayla) of New Boston, Texas, and Daphne Lockett (Pat). She also leaves 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 8 siblings, special cousin, Min. Doris Shields, special nephews, Dwayne and Byron Belin, special friends, Sophia McHenry, Connie Thompson, Essie Henderson, Selma Brown Jackson, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Rita Faye Walls will be Friday, July 21, 2023 from 2:30 to 4:30 PM at Haynes Mortuary Inc. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Hopewell Temple CME.
