Rodney Garcia Daugherty, 64 of DeKalb, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas. He was born (Rodney Garacia Washington) September 12,1960 in Houston, Texas and was the son of Myrl Daugherty Wyse and James Baptiste. He served in the United States Army and afterward lived most of his life in the Denver, Colorado area. He later returned to DeKalb, Texas to spend the last several years of his life.

He was predeceased by his parents, stepfather - Walter W. Wyse, his sisters: Sylvia K. Daugherty and Tita Hankins. Those left to honor his memory are sisters: Jacqueline Holmes and Ruthie Shields and brothers: Sedell Washington and Bruce Washington as well as a host of other family and friends.
