Shirley Ann Lightsey was born to the parentage of JoAnn and JW Lightsey on April 23, 1952. At the age of 3 weeks, due to the death of her mother, she became the daughter of Idellia and Wardell Richardson, Sr. Consequently, she automatically became a Richardson.
Shirley departed this life to her new life on December 10, 2020. While on this pilgrimage, she attended both Macedonia and Liberty-Eylau high schools and eventually joined Job Corps. She united with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. Later in life, she united with Oak Street Baptist Church where she remained a member until her death.
She leaves in the loving hands of God: two daughters, Jacqueline Michelle Lightsey-Maxwell (Terry), Long Beach, CA and Kimberly Deneice Starks, Texarkana, TX; one son, Ronald Dewayne Lightsey, Delano, CA; five grandchildren, Da'Shanay Lightsey and Terrin "TJ" Maxwell, Long Beach, CA and Candace Lightsey, Raven Wyatt and Rylan McGriff, Texarkana, TX; one great-grandchild, Zariah Maxwell, Long Beach, CA; six sisters, Barbara Jones and Lori Jones, Domino, TX and Annie Joe Collins, Odessa Parks (Earl, Sr.), Lavannah George (Louie, Jr.) and Lizzie Warren, Texarkana, TX; eight brothers, Jayroy Lightsey (Kim), Wardell Richardson, Jr. (Cora) and James Richardson (Shirley), Texarkana, TX, Floyd Hollis (Billie), Daingerfield, TX, Ronald Lightsey, Dallas, TX, Michael Lightsey (Alicia), Queen City, TX, Rommie Richardson (Barbara), Kansas City, MO and Harold Richardson (Melba), Lincoln, NE; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and an abundance of friends.
