Mr. Starlin (Pete) Simington passed away July 9, 2025 at UT Southwest Medical Center Dallas, TX with his beloved baby girl and son in-law by his side. Age 74 years. Starlin was born September 9, 1950 in Kiblah, Arkansas to Leon and Zepher Simington.
Starlin completed his education at Kiblah High School Class of 1969. He then started his journey to Michigan where he met his late wife Wanda D. Simington and began working at General Motors until retirement. Starlin enjoyed playing Dominoes, cleaning his cars, listening to music, trash talking amongst family and friends and of course getting sharp.
Starlin was one of five children including Leon (Sally) Simington, Trudy Simington, Dennis Simington, Henry (Linda) Simington.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children, Starlin (Karloa) Stevens of Indianapolis, IN. Nathan (Holli) Simington of Saginaw, MI. Demarquis (Rosalyn) Simington of Detroit, MI. Wanda Shiree (Derek) Robinson of Little Rock, AR. Grandchildren, Starneisa, DaShawn, Daivon, Starlin Jr., Braylin, Nathan, Talonze, Marcus, Nate', Neven, Demarquis, Demarion and Derek Jr. Great-granddaughters Sky'aire and Naomi. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special niece Patricia Shepard, nephew Donnie Williams and a very special friend Norma Payne.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Zepher Simington, brother Leon Simington and wife Wanda D. Simington.
