Tyrance Wayne Jacobs, 55, of Wake Village, TX, transitioned into eternity on Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Waterton Plaza Nursing/Rehab facility in Texarkana, TX. Tyrance was born on February 5, 1966, to John and Maggie Jacobs in Texarkana, TX. At a young age, Tyrance and his sister, Tara, were baptized at the Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church. He remained an active member assisting with the Pathfinders Youth Group as well as with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 226 at the Union Hill Baptist Church.
Tyrance graduated from the Liberty Eylau Independent School District in 1984. He went on to attend and play football at Oregon State University. Afterwards, he joined the United States Marines Corps and became an Honor Guard in Washington, D.C.. After serving his country, he attended and graduated from the DPS Academy (Department of Public Safety) in Austin, TX, where he became a Texas State Trooper. He also earned various detailed assignments including the Spaceship Shuttle Columbia in 2003, as well as, a cameo appearance on Walker Texas Ranger in folding of the United States Flag Ceremony.
Tyrance later became the owner/operator of TRJ Construction where he built homes for the Housing Development. Upon his illness, he was attending Texarkana College in pursuit of a degree in Criminal Justice. Family was very important to him and he devoted his time and attention to anyone that asked of him. He was a loving and giving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He believed in sharing his wisdom and knowledge with others. Tyrance leaves to cherish his memories:
