Verba J Barber Webster, 89 of Texarkana, Texas peacefully passed away on Wednesday May 15, 2024.

Celebrating the legacy of a loving, faithful and strong wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother. Verba was born on March 26, 1935 to Robert and Mary Molly Barber in Marietta, Texas. She graduated from Bethlehem High School in Marietta. She was the youngest daughter of 11 children (9 girls and 2 boys).

Verba met the love of her life, Elgene Webster. They were married on March 1, 1963. They have one daughter, LaVera Jeanine Webster.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers- Windell Barber and Robert Ray Barber; sisters- Arelia Bonner, Mareda Nickelberry, Fanolia Winbush, Eloise Dixon, Thelda Weeks, Zenobia Bonner, Olivia Barber and Venita Barber.

Left to cherish the splendid memories are her husband, Elgene Webster her daughter, LaVera Webster, Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Services will be Saturday at the Thomas E. Haynes Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

Burial will be at the Lanark Cemetery in Queen City, Texas.
