Mrs. Versie Lee Traylor Huey of Hooks, Texas was born September 7, 1941 in  DeKalb, Texas to the late Hurtis and Mary Traylor. She departed this earthy life on Friday, February 5, 2021 in Texarkana, Texas.

Versie was a true woman of God. She loved her church, Leary Chapel Baptist Church, and loved praising God. Family was her life and her children and grandchildren loved her deeply. She was a very special lady with a beautiful smile to go along with her sweet soul.

Versie united in matrimony to Travis Huey June 6, 1966 and started their family. To this union, 5 children were born: Phillip Traylor, Keith Huey, Sandra Huey-Jackson, Douglas Huey and Calvin Huey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two children and two siblings, H.T. Traylor and Alberta Traylor.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: three children; eight siblings, John (Betty) Traylor and Rosie Cheathem of Texarkana, Texas, Edward (Gwen) Traylor and Betty (Jr) Cheathem of DeKalb, Texas, Danny (Teresa) Traylor, David (Marsha) Traylor, Sarah Bagsby and Ethel (Malvin) Gray of Hooks, Texas; as well as 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
