Wallis Ruth Hall Gooden was the wife of the late Clyde Gooden. She was a mother, sister, an aunt, grandmother, friend, and a child of God. She was born on September 8, 1942 in New Boston, Texas to John H. Sr. and Frances Hall.
Wallis accepted Christ at an early age. She was a lifelong member of Antioch Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas. She was a dedicated member who served diligently as a Deaconess and on the Kitchen Aide Committee.
Wallis retired from Red River Army Depot after 29 years of service as an Electrical Mechanic.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, watching sports, Lifetime movies, and fixing things.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Clyde; her parents; and two brothers, John H. Hall Jr. and Johnny Ray Hall.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Cassandra "Sandy" Smith (Cleveland Foster) of Texarkana, TX, Derrick (Terri) Gooden of Texarkana, TX, Frederick (Tina) Gooden of Rosharon, TX and Conequa Brewer of New Boston, TX; godson, DeWayne Stewart of Huntsville, AL; her siblings, Mattie Williams, Vera Jones and Suzanne Hall of New Boston, TX, Wilma Hall of San Antonio, TX, and Cleveland (Minnie) Hall and Larry (Bobbie) Hall of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law, James (Nannie) Gooden of New Boston, TX; as well as eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
