Louise Ivey, 93 of Texarkana, Texas, passed May 18, 2023. She was born June 30, 1929 in Maud, Texas to the late Willie Rodgers and Mamie Green.

Louise graduated in 1948 from Dunbar High School in Texarkana, Texas. After graduation she relocated to Dallas, Texas where she worked at Texas Instruments until she retired and returned to Texarkana. Sis. Louise was very active and was able to plant many seeds. She planted seeds while working in the soup kitchen (feeding the homeless and less fortunate). She enjoyed various crafts, line dancing at the senior citizen center, sewing, participating in bible studies, cooking for her brother Floyd and pampering her sister Ida with manicures. She loved traveling and making things by hand but most of all she enjoyed helping/serving other people.

Louise was preceded in death by: her brothers, Raymond Harrison and Clarence Rodgers. Survivors include: her sister Ida Smith and brother Floyd Rodgers of Texarkana, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Carol Jean Alford & Family and Deacon Hershel & Mary Robinson.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering at 11:00 AM May 27, 2023 at the Mt. Orange Baptist Church, 2510 W 10th Street Texarkana, Texas.
