Yvette Shavon (Green) Morton was born June 7, 1965 to the late Robert Lee Green, Sr. and Marilyn Jean King at Brooks Hospital in Atlanta, TX. Yvette departed this life on March 25, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Lee Green, Jr.

Yvette married Keith Lenard Morton, Sr. on January 18, 1986. Together they raised their son Keith Lenard Morton, Jr. They were a military family for 18 years and lived in a number of US states, Germany on two occasions, and Panama. Yvette served as an accountant for the Department of Defense for more than 10 years. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and playing dominos. Yvette was a member of the Church of Christ.

Yvette leaves behind many to cherish her fond memories. Husband: Keith Sr.; son: Keith Jr.; aunt: Annie L. Miles; stepmother: Vallie R. Green; siblings: Tunya` Green, Michelle King (Fredrick), and Tarus Green (Shae); nephews and nieces: Robert D., Marilyn J., Leah, Jaiden, Rylee, Wynter, Markell, and Robert D. Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
